Cottondale Hornets (Cottondale, FL) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Altha Wildcats (Altha, FL), 44-20 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Cottondale upgrades its record to 4-5 on the season. The Hornets travel to Vernon (Vernon, FL) to clash with the Yellowjackets in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Yellowjackets go into the bout with a record of 4-6. Vernon won 42-22 in their recent non-league bout against Wewahitchka (Wewahitchka, FL)

Next up, the Wildcats clash with the Malone Tigers (Malone, FL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Altha will attempt to upgrade on its 8-7 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 4-4 record after their 47-39 non-league loss to Seminole County (Donalsonville, GA).
