The Appalachian Eagles (Oneonta, AL) basketball crushed the host Cleveland Panthers (Cleveland, AL), 56-22 in Monday's non-league test.
The Eagles (9-8) will now prepare for their test against Jefferson Christian Academy (Birmingham, AL). The Eagles go into the 1A Area 10 test with a 9-2 record.
The Panthers now own a 2-5 record. They play next when they travel to Locust Fork for a 2A Area 11 test on Friday, January 13. Cleveland will encounter a Hornets squad coming off a 74-63 league loss to Cold Springs (Bremen, AL). The Hornets record now stands at 11-6.
