Bastrop Rams (Bastrop, LA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host General Trass Panthers (Lake Providence, LA), 60-29 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Bastrop upgrades its record to 16-3 on the season. The Rams travel to Sterlington (Sterlington, LA) to clash with the Panthers in a 3A District 1 bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 10-1. Sterlington won 58-49 in their recent non-league bout against West Monroe (West Monroe, LA)

Next up, the Panthers clash with the Union Parish Farmers (Farmerville, LA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 10. General Trass will attempt to upgrade on its 1-7 season record. The Farmers go into the bout with a 10-2 record after their 52-34 non-league win over Mangham (Mangham, LA).
