In Monday's league outing, the Belle Vernon Leopards (Belle Vernon, PA) basketball squad beat the host Laurel Highlands Mustangs (Uniontown, PA), by a count of 56-41.

The Leopards (7-4) will now prepare for their outing against Elizabeth Forward (Elizabeth, PA). The Warriors go into the WPIAL 4A 3 outing with a 7-3 record. In their last outing, Elizabeth Forward was topped by Fox Chapel (Pittsburgh, PA), 60-50, in a non-league outing.

The Mustangs now hold a 7-5 record. They play next when they travel to West Mifflin for a WPIAL 4A 3 outing on Thursday, January 12. Laurel Highlands will clash with a Titans squad coming off a 71-47 league win over Southmoreland (Alverton, PA). The Titans record now stands at 5-6.
