Maryland High School Basketball - Wootton nips Bethesda-Chevy Chase

January 9, 2023: Rockville, MD 20850

Wootton Patriots (Rockville, MD) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Bethesda-Chevy Chase Barons (Bethesda, MD), 42-35 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Wootton upgrades its record to 7-2 on the season. The Patriots travel to Northwood (Silver Spring, MD) to play the Gladiators in a Montgomery County - 4A East bout on Friday, January 20. The Gladiators go into the bout with a record of 2-7.

Next up, the Barons play the Einstein Titans (Kensington, MD) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 11. Bethesda-Chevy Chase will attempt to upgrade on its 7-3 season record. The Titans go into the bout with a 4-3 record after their 56-43 league win over Blake (Silver Spring, MD).
