Prior Lake Lakers (Prior Lake, MN) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Burnsville Blaze (Burnsville, MN), 63-47 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Prior Lake upgrades its record to 5-5 on the campaign. The Lakers host Shakopee (Shakopee, MN) to play the Sabers in a AAAA Section 2 bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Sabers come into the bout with a record of 4-5. Shakopee won 35-34 in their recent non-league bout against Rosemount (Rosemount, MN)

Next up, the Blaze play the Eagan Wildcats (Eagan, MN) in a AAAA Section 3 bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Burnsville will attempt to upgrade on its 3-7 season record. The Wildcats come into the bout with a 8-4 record after their 49-36 league win over Eastview (Apple Valley, MN).
