The Coral Shores Hurricanes (Tavernier, FL) basketball nipped the host Keys Gate Knights (Homestead, FL), 1-0 in Monday's league test.
The Hurricanes (5-4) will now prepare for their test against Key West (Key West, FL). The Conchs go into the non-league test with a 0-9 record. In their last test, Key West was tipped by St. Cloud (St. Cloud, FL), 69-21, in a non-league test.
The Knights now own a 0-7 record. They play next when they host Somerset Academy South Homestead for a 3A District 16 test on Tuesday, January 10. Keys Gate will encounter a Hurricanes squad coming off a 57-36 non-league win over Mater Academy Charter (Hialeah Gardens, FL). The Hurricanes record now stands at 10-5.
