In Monday's league outing, the Highlands Golden Rams (Natrona Heights, PA) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Derry Trojans (Derry, PA), by a count of 57-22.

The Golden Rams (6-4) will now prepare for their outing against Greensburg Salem (Greensburg, PA). The Golden Lions go into the WPIAL 4A 1 outing with a 9-3 record. In their last outing, Greensburg Salem was crushed by Knoch (Saxonburg, PA), 46-41, in a league outing.

The Trojans now hold a 6-7 record. They play next when they host Freeport for a WPIAL 4A 1 outing on Thursday, January 12. Derry will clash with a Yellowjackets squad coming off a 55-36 non-league win over Riverview (Oakmont, PA). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 5-9.
