Ohio High School Basketball - Meigs topped by Eastern

The Eastern Eagles basketball team scored 70 points and restricted the host Meigs Marauders to 61 in the Eagles non-league victory on Monday.
The Eagles now sport a 8-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Federal Hocking for a Tri-Valley - Hocking contest on Thursday, January 12. Eastern will battle a Lancers team coming off a 34-27 non-league loss to Morgan (McConnelsville, OH). The Lancers record now stands at 9-6.
The Marauders (2-6) will now prepare for their match against Vinton County (McArthur, OH). The Vikings enter the Tri-Valley - Ohio match with a 3-10 record. In their last match, Vinton County lost by River Valley (Bidwell, OH), 49-45, in a league match.
