Morgan Raiders (McConnelsville, OH) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Federal Hocking Lancers (Stewart, OH), 34-27 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Morgan upgrades its record to 5-9 on the campaign. The Raiders host Maysville (Zanesville, OH) to play the Panthers in a Muskingum Valley bout on Wednesday, January 11. The Panthers come into the bout with a record of 2-9. Maysville lost 59-23 in their recent league bout against Tri-Valley (Dresden, OH)

Next up, the Lancers play the Eastern Eagles (Reedsville, OH) in a Tri-Valley - Hocking bout, on Thursday, January 12. Federal Hocking will attempt to upgrade on its 9-6 season record.
