The Fruitdale Pirates basketball team (Fruitdale, AL), was overwhelmed 56-18 in Monday's non-league battle with the visiting Washington County Bulldogs (Chatom, AL)
The Bulldogs now possess a 3-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Blacksher for a 2A Area 1 battle on Thursday, January 12. Washington County will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 55-30 league win over Chickasaw (Chickasaw, AL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 13-1.
The Pirates (2-6) will now prepare for their battle against Millry (Millry, AL). The Wildcats come into the non-league battle with a 0-4 record. In their last battle, Millry was overwhelmed by Choctaw County (Butler, AL), 49-5, in a league battle.
