The Musselman Applemen basketball team (Inwood, WV), was nudged 43-36 in Monday's league battle with the host Jefferson Cougars (Shenandoah Junction, WV)

The Cougars now possess a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mercersburg Academy for a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 10. Jefferson will confront a Blue Storm team coming off a 55-32 league win over Lawrenceville School (Lawrenceville, NJ). The Blue Storm record now stands at 4-7.

The Applemen (2-5) will now prepare for their battle against Spring Mills (Martinsburg, WV). The Cardinals come into the Eastern Panhandle battle with a 7-0 record. In their last battle, Spring Mills edged Washington (Charles Town, WV), 83-20, in a league battle.
