Neshannock Lancers (New Castle, PA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Riverside Panthers (Ellwood City, PA), 60-19 in a league bout.

With the win, Neshannock upgrades its record to 6-5 on the season. The Lancers host Mohawk Area (Bessemer, PA) to play the Warriors in a WPIAL 3A 1 bout on Thursday, January 12. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 5-5. Mohawk Area won 62-43 in their recent league bout against Lincoln (Ellwood City, PA)

Next up, the Panthers play the Laurel Spartan (New Castle, PA) in a WPIAL 3A 1 bout, on Thursday, January 12. Riverside will attempt to upgrade on its 3-6 season record. The Spartan go into the bout with a 9-0 record after their 47-40 league win over Beaver Falls (Beaver Falls, PA).
