Stephenson Eagles (Stephenson, MI) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Rapid River Rockets (Rapid River, MI), 38-25 in a league bout.

With the victory, Stephenson upgrades its record to 3-3 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Forest Park (Crystal Falls, MI) to play the Trojans in a non-league bout on Friday, January 13. The Trojans come into the bout with a record of 1-5.

Next up, the Rockets play the Big Bay de Noc Black Bears (Cooks, MI) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 12. Rapid River will attempt to upgrade on its 0-8 season record. The Black Bears come into the bout with a 4-3 record after their 37-33 non-league loss to Superior Central (Eben Junction, MI).
