Silverton Foxes (Silverton, OR) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting South Albany Redhawks (Albany, OR), 44-40 in a league bout.

With the victory, Silverton improves its record to 7-2 on the campaign. The Foxes travel to Jesuit (Portland, OR) to confront the Crusaders in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 10. The Crusaders come into the challenge with a record of 7-2. Jesuit won 61-33 in their recent non-league challenge against La Salle (Milwaukie, OR)

Next up, the Redhawks confront the Dallas Dragons (Dallas, OR) in a 5A Mid-Willamette challenge, on Thursday, January 12. South Albany will attempt to improve on its 9-2 season record. The Dragons come into the challenge with a 2-7 record after their 47-41 league win over McKay (Salem, OR).
