Wake Prep Academy Guardians (Wake Forest, NC) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Southern Wake Academy Lions (Holly Springs, NC), 29-18 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Wake Prep Academy upgrades its record to 3-6 on the campaign. The Guardians travel to Kerr-Vance Academy (Henderson, NC) to play the Spartans in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 11. The Spartans come into the bout with a record of 3-6. Kerr-Vance Academy lost 41-20 in their recent league bout against Faith Christian (Rocky Mount, NC)

Next up, the Lions play the Triangle Math & Science Tigers (Cary, NC) in a 1A Conference 13 bout, on Wednesday, January 11. Southern Wake Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 1-9 season record. The Tigers come into the bout with a 8-3 record after their 84-21 non-league win over Carolina Friends (Durham, NC).
