Willow Spring Storm (Fuquay-Varina, NC) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Clayton Comets (Clayton, NC), 42-17 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Willow Spring upgrades its record to 8-2 on the campaign. The Storm travel to Millbrook (Raleigh, NC) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 12. The Wildcats come into the bout with a record of 6-2. Millbrook won 53-29 in their recent non-league bout against Rolesville (Rolesville, NC)

Next up, the Comets play the Sanderson Spartans (Raleigh, NC) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 11. Clayton will attempt to upgrade on its 0-5 season record. The Spartans come into the bout with a 3-8 record after their 38-22 non-league loss to Broughton (Raleigh, NC).
