First Academy Eagles (Leesburg, FL) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Ocala Christian Crusaders (Ocala, FL), 53-35 in a non-league bout.

With the win, First Academy upgrades its record to 5-2 on the season. The Eagles travel to Hampden DuBose Academy (Mount Dora, FL) to play the Lions in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 4-1. Hampden DuBose Academy won 74-61 in their recent non-league bout against Real Life Christian Academy (Clermont, FL)

Next up, the Crusaders play the Redeemer Christian Lions (Ocala, FL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Ocala Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Lions go into the bout with a 1-9 record after their 69-48 non-league loss to Umatilla (Umatilla, FL).
