Michigan High School Basketball - Athens overwhelmed by St. Philip Catholic Central

The St. Philip Catholic Central Fighting Tigers basketball team scored 59 points and restricted the host Athens Indians to 26 in the Fighting Tigers league victory on Tuesday.

The Fighting Tigers now sport a 5-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Calhoun Christian for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 16. St. Philip Catholic Central will battle a Cougars team coming off a 92-14 non-league win over Pansophia Academy (Coldwater, MI). The Cougars record now stands at 4-5.

The Indians (0-10) will now prepare for their contest against Burr Oak (Burr Oak, MI). The Bobcats come into the Southern Central contest with a 6-3 record. In their last contest, Burr Oak was routed by Mendon (Mendon, MI), 60-47, in a league contest.
