Lanier County Bulldogs (Lakeland, GA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Atkinson County Rebels (Pearson, GA), 62-35 in a league bout.

With the win, Lanier County upgrades its record to 12-4 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Charlton County (Folkston, GA) to clash with the Indians in a A D2 Region 2 bout on Saturday, January 13. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 8-6. Charlton County won 55-54 in their recent non-league bout against KIPP Bold City (Jacksonville, FL)

Next up, the Rebels clash with the Clinch County Panthers (Homerville, GA) in a A D2 Region 2 bout, on Friday, January 12. Atkinson County will attempt to upgrade on its 5-9 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 8-1 record after their 80-20 league win over Echols County (Statenville, GA).
