With the win, Avella upgrades its record to 7-6 on the season. The Eagles host Carlynton (Carnegie, PA) to play the Cougars in a WPIAL 1A 1 bout on Friday, January 12. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 2-6. Carlynton lost 56-51 in their recent league bout against Rochester (Rochester, PA)

Next up, the Raiders play the Western Beaver Golden Beavers (Industry, PA) in a WPIAL 1A 1 bout, on Friday, January 12. Cornell will attempt to upgrade on its 1-8 season record. The Golden Beavers go into the bout with a 2-12 record after their 56-25 league loss to Union Area (New Castle, PA).
