The Briarfield Academy Rebels basketball squad scored 67 points and restricted the host Union Christian Academy Lions to 33 in the Rebels league victory on Tuesday.

With the victory, Briarfield Academy upgrades its record to 11-1 on the campaign. The Rebels host Sharkey Issaquena Academy (Rolling Fork, MS) to play the Confederates in a non-league challenge on Thursday, January 11. The Confederates come into the challenge with a record of 1-0. Sharkey Issaquena Academy won 76-27 in their recent league challenge against Hebron Christian (Pheba, MS)

Next up, the Lions play the Northeast Baptist Knights (West Monroe, LA) in a MAIS 2A District 4 challenge, on Friday, January 12. Union Christian Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 0-5 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 0-7 record after their 82-10 league loss to Riverdale Academy (Coushatta, LA).
