The Muleshoe Mules basketball team (Muleshoe, TX), was routed 72-41 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Brownfield Cubs (Brownfield, TX)
The Cubs now sport a 17-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Denver City for a 3A Region I District 3 battle on Friday, January 12. Brownfield will battle a Mustangs team coming off a 45-37 league win over Dimmitt (Dimmitt, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 14-9.
The Mules (3-10) will now prepare for their battle against Littlefield (Littlefield, TX). The Wildcats come into the 3A Region I District 3 battle with a 19-3 record. In their last battle, Littlefield trounced Friona (Friona, TX), 75-41, in a league battle.
