The Byron Bears basketball team scored 65 points and held the host Cannon Falls Bombers to 55 in the Bears non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Bears now sport a 11-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Red Wing for a AAA Section 1 contest on Monday, January 15. Byron will battle a Wingers team coming off a 88-77 league loss to Winona (Winona, MN). The Wingers record now stands at 6-7.
The Bombers (7-3) will now prepare for their contest against Lake City (Lake City, MN). The Tigers enter the non-league contest with a 8-3 record. In their last contest, Lake City ran past Zumbrota-Mazeppa (Zumbrota, MN), 70-41, in a league contest.
