New Lothrop Hornets (New Lothrop, MI) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Byron Eagles (Byron, MI), 73-40 in a league bout.

With the win, New Lothrop upgrades its record to 3-5 on the season. The Hornets travel to Chesaning (Chesaning, MI) to clash with the Indians in a Mid-Michigan bout on Friday, January 12. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 10-0. Chesaning won 58-46 in their recent league bout against Hill-McCloy (Montrose, MI)

Next up, the Eagles clash with the Ovid-Elsie Marauders (Elsie, MI) in a Mid-Michigan bout, on Friday, January 12. Byron will attempt to upgrade on its 3-6 season record. The Marauders go into the bout with a 6-3 record after their 62-35 league win over Mt. Morris (Mt. Morris, MI).
