Alabama High School Basketball - Chilton County nudges Calera

January 9, 2024: Clanton, AL 35045

Chilton County Tigers (Clanton, AL) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Calera Eagles (Calera, AL), 59-52 in a league bout.

With the win, Chilton County upgrades its record to 11-12 on the season. The Tigers host Maplesville (Maplesville, AL) to clash with the Red Devils in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 11. The Red Devils go into the bout with a record of 5-3. Maplesville won 41-36 in their recent league bout against Notasulga (Notasulga, AL)

Next up, the Eagles clash with the Benjamin Russell Wildcats (Alexander City, AL) in a 6A Area 5 bout, on Thursday, January 11. Calera will attempt to upgrade on its 2-18 season record.
