Caney Valley Trojans (Ramona, OK) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Nowata Ironmen (Nowata, OK), 54-52 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Caney Valley upgrades its record to 7-2 on the season. The Trojans host Dewey (Dewey, OK) to play the Bulldoggers in a non-league bout on Friday, January 12. The Bulldoggers go into the bout with a record of 5-5. Dewey won 43-41 in their recent league bout against Oklahoma Union (South Coffeyville, OK)

Next up, the Ironmen play the South Coffeyville Lions (South Coffeyville, OK) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 11. Nowata will attempt to upgrade on its 5-7 season record. The Lions go into the bout with a 0-9 record after their 57-40 non-league loss to Copan (Copan, OK).
