The Carlisle Bison (Carlisle, AR) basketball nipped the visiting Palestine-Wheatley Patriots (Palestine, AR), 63-56 in Tuesday's league test.

The Bison (6-6) will now prepare for their test against Lee (Marianna, AR). The Trojans go into the 2A Region 6 test with a 9-5 record. In their last test, Lee got by Barton (Lexa, AR), 49-44, in a league test.

The Patriots now own a 6-8 record. They play next when they travel to McCrory for a 2A Region 6 test on Friday, January 12. Palestine-Wheatley will encounter a Jaguars squad coming off a 64-56 league loss to Des Arc (Des Arc, AR). The Jaguars record now stands at 2-7.
