The Central of Clay County Volunteers (Lineville, AL) basketball felled the visiting Saks Wildcats (Anniston, AL), 60-41 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Volunteers (11-4) will now prepare for their test against Shelby County (Columbiana, AL). The Wildcats go into the 5A Area 8 test with a 6-15 record. In their last test, Shelby County was beaten by Sylacauga (Sylacauga, AL), 84-59, in a league test.
The Wildcats now own a 4-9 record. They play next when they host Wellborn for a 3A Area 11 test on Thursday, January 11. Saks will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 60-47 non-league loss to Munford (Munford, AL). The Panthers record now stands at 3-12.
