The Central Valley Warriors basketball team (Monaca, PA), was toppled 73-65 in Tuesday's league battle with the host North Catholic Trojans (Cranberry Township, PA)

The Trojans now possess a 7-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Blackhawk for a WPIAL 4A 2 battle on Friday, January 12. North Catholic will confront a Cougars team coming off a 71-60 league loss to Ambridge (Ambridge, PA). The Cougars record now stands at 4-8.

The Warriors (6-4) will now prepare for their battle against Hopewell (Aliquippa, PA). The Vikings come into the WPIAL 4A 2 battle with a 6-8 record. In their last battle, Hopewell was toppled by Northgate (Pittsburgh, PA), 63-50, in a non-league battle.
