In Tuesday's league outing, the Central Cougars (West Helena, AR) basketball squad edged the host Rose Bud Ramblers (Rose Bud, AR), by a count of 64-60.
The Cougars (7-11) will now prepare for their outing against Riverview (Searcy, AR). The Raiders go into the 3A Region 6 outing with a 13-1 record. In their last outing, Riverview held off Harding Academy (Searcy, AR), 67-35, in a league outing.
The Ramblers now hold a 7-7 record. They play next when they travel to Bald Knob for a 3A Region 6 outing on Friday, January 12. Rose Bud will clash with a Bulldogs squad coming off a 56-42 league win over Lisa Academy North (Sherwood, AR). The Bulldogs record now stands at 16-3.
