Chisum Mustangs (Paris, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Prairiland Patriots (Pattonville, TX), 38-35 in a league bout.

With the win, Chisum upgrades its record to 20-7 on the season. The Mustangs host Lone Oak (Lone Oak, TX) to clash with the Buffaloes in a 3A Region II District 12 bout on Friday, January 12. The Buffaloes go into the bout with a record of 14-9. Lone Oak won 63-26 in their recent league bout against Prairiland (Pattonville, TX)

Next up, the Patriots confront the Grand Saline Indians (Grand Saline, TX) in a 3A Region II District 12 challenge, on Friday, January 12. Prairiland will attempt to improve on its 9-9 season record. The Indians come into the challenge with a 9-15 record after their 52-50 league loss to Edgewood (Edgewood, TX).
