Christian Heritage Sentinels (Longview, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Union Hill Bulldogs (Gilmer, TX), 48-46 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Christian Heritage upgrades its record to 4-4 on the season. The Sentinels host Athens Christian Preparatory Academy (Athens, TX) to play the Storm in a TAPPS 1A District 4 bout on Friday, January 19. The Storm go into the bout with a record of 9-5. Athens Christian Preparatory Academy won 68-65 in their recent league bout against Regents Academy (Nacogdoches, TX)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Sulphur Bluff Bears (Sulphur Bluff, TX) in a 1A Region III District 24 bout, on Friday, January 12. Union Hill will attempt to upgrade on its 7-7 season record. The Bears go into the bout with a 19-8 record after their 64-33 league win over Avinger (Avinger, TX).
