The Nixon Mustangs basketball team scored 66 points and restricted the host Cigarroa Toros to 55 in the Mustangs league victory on Tuesday.
The Mustangs now sport a 15-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Juarez-Lincoln for a 5A Region IV District 30 contest on Friday, January 12. Nixon will battle a Huskies team coming off a 82-48 league loss to Palmview (La Joya, TX). The Huskies record now stands at 2-23.
The Toros (3-16) will now prepare for their contest against Palmview (La Joya, TX). The Lobos come into the 5A Region IV District 30 contest with a 20-8 record. In their last contest, Palmview prevailed over Juarez-Lincoln (La Joya, TX), 82-48, in a league contest.
