Northwest Mounties (Jackson, MI) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Coldwater Cardinals (Coldwater, MI), 52-51 in a league bout.

With the win, Northwest upgrades its record to 4-7 on the season. The Mounties travel to Hastings (Hastings, MI) to clash with the Saxons in a Interstate Eight bout on Friday, January 12. The Saxons go into the bout with a record of 2-6. Hastings lost 55-41 in their recent league bout against Western (Parma, MI)

Next up, the Cardinals clash with the Pennfield Panthers (Battle Creek, MI) in a Interstate Eight bout, on Friday, January 12. Coldwater will attempt to upgrade on its 3-9 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 3-7 record after their 66-47 league loss to Harper Creek (Battle Creek, MI).
