The Flour Bluff Hornets basketball team scored 79 points and held the host Corpus Christi Moody Trojans to 28 in the Hornets league triumph on Tuesday.

The Hornets now sport a 19-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial for a 5A Region IV District 29 contest on Friday, January 12. Flour Bluff will battle a Eagles team coming off a 102-59 league win over Carroll (Corpus Christi, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 16-8.

The Trojans (4-21) will now prepare for their contest against Gregory-Portland (Portland, TX). The Wildcats enter the non-league contest with a 22-4 record. In their last contest, Gregory-Portland triumphed over Ray (Corpus Christi, TX), 88-58, in a league contest.
