DeSmet Bulldogs (DeSmet, SD) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Howard Tigers (Howard, SD), 56-46 in a non-league bout.

With the win, DeSmet upgrades its record to 8-1 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Hills-Beaver Creek (Hills, MN) to play the Patriots in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 13. The Patriots go into the bout with a record of 7-2.

Next up, the Tigers play the Hanson Beavers (Alexandria, SD) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 16. Howard will attempt to upgrade on its 7-2 season record.
