Douglas Tigers (Douglas, MA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Hopedale Blue Raiders (Hopedale, MA), 49-44 in a league bout.
With the victory, Douglas upgrades its record to 4-4 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Sutton (Sutton, MA) to play the Sammies in a Dual Valley bout on Friday, January 12. The Sammies come into the bout with a record of 5-3. Sutton won 46-29 in their recent league bout against Whitinsville Christian (Whitinsville, MA)
Next up, the Blue Raiders play the Worcester Tech Eagles (Worcester, MA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 10. Hopedale will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record. The Eagles come into the bout with a 5-1 record after their 52-27 league win over Bay Path RVT (Charlton, MA).
