Mississippi High School Basketball - East Rankin Academy ripped by Simpson Academy

The Simpson Academy Cougars basketball team scored 73 points and held the host East Rankin Academy Patriots to 19 in the Cougars league triumph on Tuesday.
The Cougars now sport a 17-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Copiah Academy for a non-league contest on Thursday, January 11. Simpson Academy will battle a Colonels team coming off a 51-47 non-league win over Brookhaven Academy (Brookhaven, MS). The Colonels record now stands at 4-9.
The Patriots (0-11) will now prepare for their contest against Park Place Christian Academy (Pearl, MS). The Crusaders enter the MAIS 5A District 2 contest with a 13-8 record. In their last contest, Park Place Christian Academy was routed by Leake Academy (Madden, MS), 61-25, in a league contest.
