Somers Spartans (Somers, CT) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host East Windsor Panthers (East Windsor, CT), 47-36 in a league bout.

With the win, Somers upgrades its record to 4-0 on the season. The Spartans host Granby Memorial (Granby, CT) to clash with the Bears in a North Central Connecticut bout on Friday, January 12. The Bears go into the bout with a record of 4-4. Granby Memorial lost 62-59 in their recent league bout against Rockville (Vernon, CT)

Next up, the Panthers clash with the Suffield Wildcats (West Suffield, CT) in a North Central Connecticut bout, on Friday, January 12. East Windsor will attempt to upgrade on its 4-3 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 4-5 record after their 59-50 league win over Coventry (Coventry, CT).
