The Northwest Catholic Lions (West Hartford, CT) basketball felled the host Farmington River Hawks (Farmington, CT), 58-43 in Tuesday's league test.
The Lions (7-0) will now prepare for their test against Pope Francis Prep (Springfield, MA). The Cardinals go into the non-league test with a 7-1 record. In their last test, Pope Francis Prep thwarted Amherst-Pelham Regional (Amherst, MA), 57-45, in a non-league test.
The River Hawks now own a 6-2 record. They play next when they travel to Conard for a Central Connecticut - West Colonial test on Thursday, January 11. Farmington will encounter a Red Wolves squad coming off a 59-47 non-league loss to East Catholic (Manchester, CT). The Red Wolves record now stands at 2-4.
