Forest Hill Patriots (Jackson, MS) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Jim Hill Tigers (Jackson, MS), 59-53 in a league bout.

With the win, Forest Hill upgrades its record to 6-14 on the season. The Patriots travel to West Jones (Laurel, MS) to play the Mustangs in a 6A Region 3 bout on Friday, January 12. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 9-11. West Jones won 67-62 in their recent league bout against Pearl River Central (Carriere, MS)

Next up, the Tigers play the Terry Bulldogs (Terry, MS) in a 6A Region 3 bout, on Friday, January 12. Jim Hill will attempt to upgrade on its 3-13 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 13-7 record after their 66-56 league loss to Hattiesburg (Hattiesburg, MS).
