The Northeast Jones Tigers basketball team (Laurel, MS), was toppled 58-40 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Forest Bearcats (Forest, MS)
The Bearcats now possess a 9-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mendenhall for a 4A Region 5 battle on Friday, January 12. Forest will confront a Tigers team coming off a 71-67 league win over Quitman (Quitman, MS). The Tigers record now stands at 15-3.
The Tigers (3-15) will now prepare for their battle against Morton (Morton, MS). The Panthers come into the 4A Region 5 battle with a 13-5 record. In their last battle, Morton beat Lake (Lake, MS), 58-44, in a non-league battle.
