Upper Lake Cougars (Upper Lake, CA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Fort Bragg Timberwolves (Fort Bragg, CA), 66-49 in a league bout.

With the win, Upper Lake upgrades its record to 5-9 on the season. The Cougars travel to St. Bernard's (Eureka, CA) to play the Crusaders in a non-league bout on Friday, January 12. The Crusaders go into the bout with a record of 11-3. St. Bernard's won 72-30 in their recent league bout against Hoopa Valley (Hoopa, CA)

Next up, the Timberwolves play the St. Helena Saints (St. Helena, CA) in a North Central I bout, on Saturday, January 13. Fort Bragg will attempt to upgrade on its 3-13 season record. The Saints go into the bout with a 12-4 record after their 64-61 league win over Cloverdale (Cloverdale, CA).
