In Tuesday's league outing, the Hermon Hawks (Hermon, ME) basketball squad edged the visiting Washington Academy Raiders (East Machias, ME), by a count of 40-38.

The Hawks (5-4) will now prepare for their outing against Old Town (Old Town, ME). The Coyotes go into the B North outing with a 9-0 record. In their last outing, Old Town held off Orono (Orono, ME), 56-54, in a league outing.

The Raiders now hold a 5-6 record. They play next when they host Narraguagus for a non-league outing on Thursday, January 11. Washington Academy will clash with a Knights squad coming off a 40-38 non-league win over Jonesport-Beals (Jonesport, ME). The Knights record now stands at 5-4.
