With the win, Port Isabel upgrades its record to 17-6 on the season. The Tarpons travel to La Feria (La Feria, TX) to clash with the Lions in a 4A Region IV District 32 bout on Friday, January 12. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 14-6. La Feria won 75-9 in their recent league bout against Harmony School of Innovation (Brownsville, TX)

Next up, the Pirates clash with the Zapata Hawks (Zapata, TX) in a 4A Region IV District 32 bout, on Friday, January 12. Hidalgo will attempt to upgrade on its 10-13 season record. The Hawks go into the bout with a 2-13 record after their 48-42 league win over Grulla (Rio Grande City, TX).
