New Auburn Trojans (New Auburn, WI) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Lake Holcombe Chieftains (Holcombe, WI), 61-55 in a league bout.

With the win, New Auburn upgrades its record to 7-3 on the season. The Trojans host Birchwood (Birchwood, WI) to play the Bobcats in a Lakeland - East bout on Friday, January 12. The Bobcats go into the bout with a record of 8-3. Birchwood won 65-42 in their recent league bout against Cornell (Cornell, WI)

Next up, the Chieftains play the Flambeau Falcons (Tony, WI) in a Lakeland - East bout, on Friday, January 12. Lake Holcombe will attempt to upgrade on its 7-5 season record. The Falcons go into the bout with a 7-5 record after their 69-61 league win over Prairie Farm (Prairie Farm, WI).
