In Tuesday's league match, the visiting Martin Warriors basketball team scored a good 56-47 triumph over the Sam Houston Texans.
In their next game, the Warriors face the Grand Prairie Gophers (Grand Prairie, TX) in a 6A Region I District 8 match, on Friday, January 12. Martin will attempt to move on its 11-12 season record. The Gophers enter the match with a 12-13 record after their 66-58 league win over Lamar (Arlington, TX).
With the defeat, Sam Houston moves to 4-17 on the year. The Texans host Haltom (Haltom City, TX) to face the Buffalos in a 6A Region I District 8 match on Friday, January 12. The Buffalos enter the match with a record of 15-7. Haltom won 84-59 in their recent league match against Bowie (Arlington, TX)
