The Stratford Spartans basketball team scored 51 points and restricted the host Memorial Mustangs to 33 in the Spartans league victory on Tuesday.

The Spartans now sport a 12-13 record. They put it on the line next when they host Jersey Village for a 6A Region III District 17 contest on Friday, January 12. Stratford will battle a Falcons team coming off a 67-34 league win over Northbrook (Houston, TX). The Falcons record now stands at 10-12.

The Mustangs (8-16) will now prepare for their contest against Cy-Fair (Cypress, TX). The Bobcats come into the 6A Region III District 17 contest with a 15-8 record. In their last contest, Cy-Fair prevailed over Cypress Ridge (Houston, TX), 66-43, in a league contest.
