The Oakwood Comets basketball team scored 69 points and restricted the visiting Milford Bearcats to 46 in the Comets league victory on Tuesday.

The Comets now sport a 13-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hoopeston for a Vermilion Valley contest on Wednesday, January 10. Oakwood will battle a Cornjerkers team coming off a 77-27 league win over Schlarman (Danville, IL). The Cornjerkers record now stands at 13-5.

The Bearcats (8-11) will now prepare for their contest against South Newton (Kentland, IN). The Rebels come into the non-league contest with a 1-10 record. In their last contest, South Newton was routed by North White (Monon, IN), 46-45, in a league contest.
